Some days call for a warm mug of something delicious (or a glass of something warming…), and some days seem to be asking for activity.
Weirdly today has managed to supply both.
The morning started with an opportunity to share my love of sourdough with a group of really enthusiastic retreat-ers (is that a word?) who were attending a weekend of yoga and mindfulness with Liberty Wellbeing.
It was a great experience for me as I’d never tried giving a talk on intentionality AND demonstrating how to bake sourdough bread at the same time. They were all extremely patient and engaged and I’ve learnt some great lessons for next time!
Home in time for lunch and I had a job waiting – stacking our winter fuel.
I get a little obsessed with wood stacking (one of my favourite books is Norwegian Wood), so I look forward to spending a couple of hours absorbed in the task.
Now I’m sipping a whiskey with a small dog sitting at my feet.
So, if you want to know what satisfaction looks like. It’s a well-stacked pile of winter fuel, a log burning stove, a glass of single malt and a small dog.
