“Drawing on moral philosophy and cognitive science, the familiar hassles of daily life and the work lessons of craftsmen, and his own life lessons as an academic and mechanic, he [Crawford] shows how each of is can learn to live in the world around us.”

I have found this book to be heavy going at times, but ultimately rewarding in the sheer number of insights and observations about our daily struggle with distraction.

I can honestly say that this critique on modern life has helped shape my understanding of how we need to be more mindful in our daily lives.
