One of my favourite things about the Autumn/Winter is the food and drink – surprise surprise! I love the spices and the warmth of ginger, whisky, star anise, cinnamon…all of them just make me feel so cosy.
I started making these gingerbread people about 3 years ago. The dough is just perfect for kids, it handles well and they cook quickly. I also like the fact this recipe makes a decent batch.
The biscuits themselves are lovely and soft in the middle (just how I like my people!). They can also be decorated, and of course gifted.
One of my Christmas traditions is making these with my son and then eating my way through them with a whisky and Elf on the telly.
